From the Airport
You can take either the bus (Airbus A1) or the train (RENFE-Cercanias L1) to Plaza de Catalunya in the center of Barcelona (the train is slightly cheaper). From there, we are a 20 minute walk, or you can take the metro(L3) one stop to Liceu .
From Sants Estació or Passeig de Gracia
You can take the metro (L3) to Liceu . (You can also take the bus, but it's more complicated. From Sants take the 57 or the 157 - go out the back of the train station, towards plaça de Sants; both buses have stops on carrer Sants. You should get off at passeig de Colon , before Correos. From passeig de Gracia take bus 17 - Get off on via Laietana just next to the metro entrance Jaume I) .
From Estació Nord / Arc de Triomf
You can take the metro (L1) from Arc de Triomf , switch to (L4) at Urquinaona , and get off at Jaume I . Alternatively, it's only a twenty minute walk; from the bus station, head towards the Arc de Triomf, and once there, walk down its broad pedestrian avenue towards Parc de la Ciutadella. When you reach the park, circumvent it to the right, and then take a right onto carrer Princesa. Follow Princesa straight, past the Picasso museum, across via Laietana, (past the metro (L4) entrance Jaume I ) straight up the hill (although Princesa is now carrer Jaume I), into plaça Sant Jaume and then out it's far left corner into plaça Sant Miquel and across, and then “voila” you're in carrer Palau.
From the ferry Terminal (Transmediterranea)
We're only an eight minute walk from the port, but if you like you can take bus 38. (get off on las Ramblas, just before plaça Real.)
From the Beach
Call it a twelve minute walk; and a nice one. A few gelaterias, views of the harbor, a big Lichtenstein Statue, etc. If too much sun has worn you out, you can choose between buses 17 and 45 (get off on passeig de Colon ) or 57 and 157 (get off on via Laietana).
